Long to Be Home

Here is a song that I wrote in appoximately ten minutes music and all during my devotional time at the snow retreat. I was reading in 1 Corinthians and it was talking about wisdom given by the Holy Spirit and other things that we recieve because of the Holy Spirit. Paul was making a distinction between those who have the Spirit and those who don't by refrencing and Old Testament passage that says, "What no eye has seen, or ear has heard nor the heart of man imagine, what God has prepared for those who love him..." The distiction Paul made was that believers recieve the joys of Heaven. So here are the lyrics to a great anticipation for heaven:

What no eye has seen or ear has heard
Nor the heart of man imagined
What God has prepared for those who love Him

I long for that day
When I can be face to face
With the One who rescued me

(Pre-Chorus)
Come O Lord and take me from this helm
As I wait O God, I wait for you now

(Chorus)
I Have walked this earth with no where to go
I have seen all the things that are fleeting
Now I sing from the joy that comforts me
"Oh how I long to be home with You!"

How long O Lord
Must I wait to see your face?
I wait with great anticipation

I am weak and frail
But you are my strength that holds me
Firm, enduring till the end

(Pre-Chorus)

(Chorus)

(Pre-Chorus) 2x

(Chorus)
